Group Accounting Director

About the role
We are looking for a Group Accounting Director to lead group financial accounting, consolidation and reporting. This is a unique opportunity to join the group financial team, where you will play a key role in ensuring accuracy and compliance, as well as in enabling the full Latour business to continue to prosper and grow!
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with accompanying reports, ensuring IFRS compliance.
- Lead the preparation of Latour’s legal annual report and input all numerical data for quarterly and annual reports.
- Manage accounting for acquisitions and portfolio companies, including equity method reporting and forecasting.
- Support business areas during acquisitions and structural changes, ensuring proper financial integration and reporting.
- Maintain responsibility for the group’s insurance agreements and monitor ESG responsibilities (e.g., MSB Project Viska).
- Provide expert guidance on complex accounting issues and support business areas with consolidated reporting inquiries.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting, including CBCR submissions and minimum tax calculations across jurisdictions.
- Oversee the AARO system: update journals, perform control checks, and create new input forms as needed.
- Stay current with accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance across all reporting activities.
- Create interim reports using specialized tools integrated with Excel and Word, ensuring accuracy and clarity in presentation.
About you
The ideal candidate brings solid expertise in financial reporting, group consolidation, and tax compliance, along with experience managing complex accounting processes across a corporate group. This role calls for both technical depth and strategic insight, with a strong ability to collaborate across functions and improve system and processes.
Qualifications
Financial reporting & IFRS
- Proven experience in preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Hands-on involvement in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
- Experience from listed companies, with legal annual reports and regulatory compliance
Group consolidation & Acquisitions
- Experience managing group accounting for a multi-entity organization
- Familiarity with accounting for acquisitions, and knowledge of equity method accounting
Tax & Regulatory compliance
- Responsibility for corporate tax matters, including compliance, reporting, and staying updated on tax regulations
System & Process management
- Proficiency in financial reporting systems (e.g., AARO, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Experience in system implementation or optimization projects
Leadership & Collaboration
- Experience leading or mentoring a team within a finance or accounting function
- Experience from collaborating with other business areas, providing guidance on accounting and financial integration
- Ability to act as a sounding board for complex accounting issues
Analytical & Strategic thinking
- Strong analytical skills for forecasting, cash flow analysis, and scenario planning
